Logo guidelines

Swinton Estate logos have been designed to be clear, legible and recognisable. To maintain that, the following guidelines should be observed when using them:

  • Use the correct logo based on the background. On all white backgrounds the two-tone logo should be used. On a dark coloured background, the all white logo should be used. For the Swinton Estate logo, on a lighter background, and where the grey writing in the two-tone logo can’t be seen, the all red logo should be used
  • The logo must be the high quality logo, under no circumstances should quality be jeopardised
  • Do not reproduce the logo at an angle
  • To ensure legibility and allow for ease of recognition, the logo is not recommended to be reproduced any smaller than 8.5mm or 100 pixels in height.
  • The logos may be proportionately scaled to smaller or larger sizes but should never be stretched or distorted
  • Do not reproduce the logos in any other colour than those used

Key facts

The Swinton Estate is situated close to the market town of Masham in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, and has been in the ownership of the Cunliffe-Lister family since the 1880s. It extends from the River Ure across 20,000 acres of rural hill farming countryside up onto the moorland of the Yorkshire Dales.

In recent years, time has been spent developing the tourism and leisure activities on the Estate and Swinton Estate has become known as one of Yorkshire’s leading hotel, spa and glamping destinations. The ongoing commitment on the rural side of the Estate has led to the continual improvement of the Estate’s sustainable and environmental position with the overall aim to make Swinton a better place to live, visit and work.
